  • My Questions set by Nichole Patrow at The Bookish Fairy.

    1. How long have you been blogging? I started this summer at the end of June so I would say for about 5 months.
    2. What do you blog about? I'm a Young Adult Librarian so the majority of the books that read are teen. But I don't limit myself. I'm willing to ready anything from Historical Fiction to Paranormal Romance to Science Fiction
    3. Are you an avid reader or do you read in spurts? I am an avid reader. Especially when school is out I read all the time. I'm one of those people who has a book in my purse, in my car, and on my night stand. Also I have a kindle with a million books on it. So yea, i'm an avid reader
    4. If you could be any animal, what would it be? A swan. They are soo beautiful and graceful.
    5. What is your all time favorite book? The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare. If you have not read them I think you really need to .
    6. Do you always read the books that are popular at the time? (For example, the Divergent trilogy is pretty popular right now) or do you read them "when you get to them?" It depends on how good they really are. Honestly I have not read Divergent. I will read the trilogy but it will be when it dies down. So I guess that would make me at "when I get to them"
    7. Current book boyfriend/girlfriend? Daemon Black from the Lux series! Oh My Goodness!! I tell people that my perfect boyfriend is in a book
    8. Favorite book heroine? Violent Eden from the Embrace Series. She literally kicks major butt in those books
    9. Favorite book genre? Anything Paranormal or Paranormal Romance. When I read I love the fact that it is my escape from reality. Even if it is just for five mins I've been introduced to a whole new world.
    10. E-book, Paperback or Hardcover? Hardcover. I love my kindle but I have to charge it and I don't have to charge books. I'm picky about paperbacks. The only reason I like them is because they can fit into my purse for that quick reading.

    Interview Questions
1.) What would you say is your interesting writing quirk?
I’m not sure if you could call it an interesting writing quirk, but I have to listen to music when I write because it helps me concentrate.
It is quite common for me to go to my Bjork, Limp Bizkit, NIN or Machine Head collections if I need inspiration for a fight scene or to my Ellie Goulding, Evanescence and Eurythmics selections to help me create a magical or romantic passage.
If I do not have music on, I can get distracted very easily and it would take me longer to complete the task at hand.

2.) Where do you get your information or …

Book Review: Rarity from the Hollow by Robert Eggleton

( I received this ebook by the author in exchange for an honest review)

Goodreads Summary: Lacy Dawn's father relives the Gulf War, her mother's teeth are rotting out, and her best friend is murdered by the meanest daddy on Earth. Life in the hollow is hard. She has one advantage -- an android was inserted into her life and is working with her to cure her parents. But, he wants something in exchange. It's up to her to save the Universe. Lacy Dawn doesn't mind saving the universe, but her family and friends come first.

Rarity from the Hollow is adult literary science fiction filled with tragedy, comedy and satire.

This book was written very well and the writing was very vivid. This was not a simple book and it took me a minute to get into it. It had a sci-fi feel to it but it transitions into a more realistic atmosphere. This touches on some subjects on child abuse and as well as victims that suffer from PTSD and domestic violence. All of this is from the perspective ele…

Book Review: Class of '59 by John Heldt

(I received this ebook by the author in exchange for an honest review)
Goodreads summary: When Mary Beth McIntire settles into a vacation house on June 2, 2017, she anticipates a quiet morning with coffee. Then she hears a noise, peers out a window, and spots a man in 1950s attire standing in the backyard. She panics when the trespasser sees her and enters the house though a door to the basement. She questions her sanity when she cannot find him.

In the same house on March 21, 1959, Mark Ryan finds a letter. Written by the mansion’s original owner in 1900, the letter describes a basement chamber, mysterious crystals, and a formula for time travel. Driven by curiosity, Mark tests the formula twice. On his second trip to 2017, he encounters a beautiful stranger. He meets the woman in the window.

Within hours, Mary Beth and Mark share their secret with her sister and his brother and begin a journey that takes them from the present day to the age of sock hops, drive-ins, and jukeboxes. In CL…
