that's not what I meant,” he says. “Look at me.” He holds my wrist firmly in
his grip, waiting for me to stop fighting his hold and make eye contact with
him. This just isn't happening to me. “Sarah, look at me,” he says again, and
at the sound of my name leaving his lips I turn and look. I see scorching gold
eyes burning right into mine. Intense emotions drain out of his eyes and pour
into mine. “I didn't kiss you because I felt sorry for you. I kissed you
because I haven't stopped thinking about kissing you since I first saw you on
the street. Then the second chance I got after you walked into my office all
bent out of hell to drive me insane. I haven’t slept a good fuckin’ night since
I slammed my mouth on yours two weeks ago. What I'm sorry about is that I took
advantage of you in a vulnerable moment. It was wrong of me.

“Savannah wanted to kiss him, but she had never even kissed a human guy before, let alone a ghost. How was she supposed to kiss him if he wasn’t really there?”

Savannah has never been in love before, but she’s in love with Hunter Emmerton. He’s cute, funny, charming ... and a ghost. How can you date someone if nobody else can see them?

When seventeen-year-old Savannah Fraser and her three friends are killed in a car accident, they are given a second chance at life by a group of century-old earthbound spirits who need their help.

Savannah learns she is a Chosen One, which means she can switch between human and spirit form, heal people, and control the weather—and she is also now invincible.

The Chosen Ones are the only ones who can defeat The Forces—a trio of evil half-spirits who are slowly destroying the perfect little town of Fort Everwick with violent storms and not-so-natural disasters—and stop them from harming everyone they care about.

The Forces are set on destroying everything Savannah knows and loves, but they also have a more sinister plan—they want a new member to join them. They won’t give up until they get the one they want—and they have Savannah firmly in their sights.

But what Savannah didn’t count on was falling in love with Hunter. She’s never loved anyone the way she loves Hunter, and she knows he loves her, too. But how can they be together forever if he no longer exists and she’s the only one who can see him?

Will Savannah have enough belief in herself to defeat The Forces, or will they be able to lure her to the dark side and turn her against her loved ones—and tear her and Hunter apart?

Title: See No Evil (The Faded Trilogy, Book 2)

Are Savannah’s dreams predicting the death of someone close to her? Or is it someone even closer than she thinks? Can Savannah save one of her best friends—and stop another from suffering the same fate?

Savannah will need more strength than she ever has before if she is to defeat The Forces for good, and with Hunter’s love and encouragement to believe in herself, she finds the confidence she never knew she had.

However, while The Chosen Ones become more confident in their roles as protectors of Fort Everwick, The Forces only become more evil—and prove they will stop at nothing to win.

What will Savannah do that will change everything and determine her position of power over The Forces forever—and prove to them that she just might have it in her to beat them at their own game?

But while becoming their biggest threat, it also reinforces Savannah’s position as Gwen’s most cherished target.

If Fort Everwick no longer needed protecting, and Hunter was free to cross over, would he stay with Savannah as he promised—or leave her to live the normal life she deserves?

Savannah can’t imagine her life without Hunter, but does he love her truly enough to let her go?

Until then, The Chosen Ones only have one thing on their mind—defeating The Forces. But they are stronger than ever—and not prepared to go down without a fight.

Will The Forces finally be defeated once and for all? And can Savannah and Hunter really live happily ever after?

I absolutely love love love these crackers but these are my favorite. The extra cheddar on it is perfect lol. It's so weird because when I was a kid I didn't like them as much. Now whenever I go into the store I have to grab a bag. They are perfect for a snack while I'm reading :).

I can drink coffee all day. I'm trying to limit my intake because obviously it is not healthy for me but in the mornings it is apart of my routine.

Promo Post: August Moon by Tammy Morea

Summary from Goodreads:
What do you do when the one who broke your heart, is the only one who can fix it?

There is nothing in this world stronger than the powerful emotion of being in love.  Except, maybe the paralyzing pain of a broken heart.

Moving to a small unfamiliar beach town in the summer before her senior year of high school is really going to suck. Raven, a black haired beauty, from a well- off family was certain about that. Miserable in her circumstance’s, nothing could convince her otherwise, until Raven meets Quinn, a local with a love for surfing and a bad reputation to go with it. Despite the very different worlds they live in, their desire for each other is undeniable. Raven’s fears and misery start to vanish as she and Quinn fall deeper and deeper into each other.
But things change drastically when Raven is unknowingly used as a pawn, in a turn of disastrous events, caused by Quinn’s older brother.
The events that follow could silence Raven’s heart for eternity and completely destroy what’s left of Quinn’s soul.
August Moon is a captivating story of young love.  Bringing two unlikely hearts together.  Only to be shattered by one tortuous decision.  Putting these star-crossed lovers on course for the ultimate challenge of forgiveness.

Book Review: Empower by Jessica Shirvington

Goodreads Summary: It has been two years since Violet Eden walked away from the city, her friends, her future and - most importantly - her soulmate, Lincoln. Part angel, part human, Violet is determined to stand by the promises she made to save the one she loves.

Living in the perpetual coldness of a broken soul she survives day to day as a Rogue Grigori in London.

But when an unexpected visitor shows up at her door, the news he bears about someone she swore to protect leaves Violet with no choice.

Even worse, she fears that this might all lead back to the night she tries hardest to forget. And what was taken without her permission.

Violet is going back to New York ... and she knows exactly who is going to be there.

With Phoenix in her dreams and Lincoln in her heart she knows it is only a matter of time before the final choice must be made.

I love love love this series!!!!!! Out of the whole series Empower was my favorite book. I hated to see that it has finally come to an end because this is one of the best series out there (in my opinion).

Empower takes off after two years when Violet leaves her friends and Lincoln behind. She is filled with guilt from the events that took place Endless. To protect the people that she loves the most she thinks that she should take herself out of the picture. Violet travels all over with her parents before settling down in London. There she meets a group of rouge Grigori and becomes good friends with one named Gray. Everything seems to be ok until someone comes to her and tells her that her friend Spence has been kidnapped and to keep her promise to always have his back she goes back to the life she left to rescue him.

Violet has grown in so many ways!! She has become a really strong person that I admired throughout the series. She experienced betrayal and heartbreak and still had the power to move on. Despite her feelings she always put others before her. In this book we see a much softer side because she realize that she cannot always run from things and she cannot always protect the people she loves. She can try but not always. Once she realize that what she was running from was really something that she needed from the very beginning.

Lincoln has grown also through the series. In this book he learns to trust her and realize that also that they both need each other to survive. At the beginning he tries to act like he doesn't want Violet there but eventually drops the charade and stops denying it that their love is  worth fighting for.  He does his best to convince Violet of that. Even though she tries to fight it she realizes that also.

Phoenix is my favorite character from the series. He still loves Violet deeply but knows that her heart is with someone else. He is there for her for those two years that she was gone and was more of a guide and friend. It had broke his heart to see her depressed and wanted desperately to fix it. My heart broke for him the ending with him and Violet was bittersweet. Phoenix sacrificed for Violet in this story so much. I wished that his story continued because there is a whole side of Phoenix that is different from the rest of the books. I am team Phoenix all the way!!

We are introduced to new characters in this story. Gray who is the rouge that we see a lot throughout the story. He is with Violet the whole time. Just as Spence he would do anything for Violet. Gray is the best friend that we all want to have.

Steph is one of the best friends ever in the name of best friends. She is the only pure human on this Journey. She gave up her old life and stayed throughout the whole time with Violet and Salvatore. Her love for riddles gave her a place on the team and she is a big essential when the rest doesn't know how to figure out certain things.

I fell in love with all of the characters in the story. There is so much to say about each and everyone of them but for the sake of not having a too long review I'm going to sum it up. They are the best people that anyone could ever have in their life. They are what a  family is centered around and dares anyone to mess with anyone of them.

The plot of this story held great sacrifice on the good and bad side. Samuel was a genuine evil character and I'm glad he got what he deserved.

As I said before I didn't want this series to end but all good things must come to an end. Thank you Jessica for writing an amazing series!!!!

Rating 5STars
Recomend? Yes to infinity!!!!!!!!

Blog Tour: Branded by Abi Ketner and Missy Kalicicki Book Review

Goodreads Summary:Fifty years ago the Commander came into power and murdered all who opposed him. In his warped mind, the seven deadly sins were the downfall of society. He created the Hole where sinners are branded according to their sins and might survive a few years. At best.
Now LUST wraps around my neck like blue fingers strangling me. I’ve been accused of a crime I didn’t commit and now the Hole is my new home.

Darkness. Death. Violence. Pain.

Now every day is a fight for survival. But I won’t die. I won’t let them win.

The Hole can’t keep me. The Hole can’t break me.
I am more than my brand. I’m a fighter.
My name is Lexi Hamilton, and this is my story.

This book was so enjoyable to read and I loved every moment of it. There is betrayal, action, and romance all tied into one story(who doesn't love all of that? lol). This story takes place after World War V and is ruled by the "Commander". The world has to stay pure from worldly vices. Sinners are the people who sin and when they are caught they get sent to the "Hole". The seven deadly sins are what the Commander feels is reason for the chaos and the destruction of the society. People who are in those ranks of sin are judged and sent to the Hole for the rest of their lives. Each person who is in the Hole will be colored based on the sin that they committed.

Being accused of a crime that she did not commit Lexi has been sent to the Hole. Having everything stripped away from her she did not fight at first nor did she try to prove her innocence because of the fact that no one would actually believe her if she tried. I loved reading Lexi's character because she is a genuine unique person. She endured so much and even though she wanted to end everything at one moment she still pushed through. The first half of the book my heart was breaking because of the emotional roller coaster happening. I'm not a big fan for the blood and guts everywhere but the story was that good for me to overlook it and keep reading.

Cole is the guard that is assigned to Lexi. At first she was just an assignment but that eventually falls into something much more :).

"I never planned on falling for you. You were just an assignment. But it just sort of happened and now... There's not a single thing I would change about you. When you smile, my entire world stops. All I see is you. I need you."

But a guard falling in love with a sinner has some serious consequences. Cole was perfect throughout the story. His need to protect her was important to him throughout the story. Things may have started out shaky between them but I'm glad it blossomed into better things.:))))))

I enjoyed reading this story very much and I look forward to reading the rest in the series!
