Book Spotlight: Light The Way (bk2 Union Trilogy) in the by Joe Kipling

 Light The Way Book Spotlight!
I literally have a love/hate relationship with blogger at the moment. Because of pre-scheduling technical difficulties I had manually post and publish.

Make sure you grab a copy of Light the Way. I know that you guys will love it. :)

Having escaped the
boundary and the tyranny of the Neighbourhood and now under the protection of
the Union, MaryAnn Hunter is slowly re-building her life as a fugitive on the
Outside.
When a friend asks for
help MaryAnn finds herself on a dangerous rescue mission that takes her on a
terrifying journey and back into the desperate clutches of the Director and the
Light.
MaryAnn faces a fight for
survival against insurmountable odds - but is it a fight she is willing to win
at any cost?
Light the Way is the second
book in The Union Trilogy

With a surname like Kipling, Joes' future as a writer might have been predetermined
at birth.. . . . well at least it assured her a good place on the bookshelves.
An avid traveller she spent many years backpacking around the world and has by
pure luck managed to avoid catastrophe, although she has been known to miss a
flight or two.

She now lives in West Yorkshire and if she's not at home
writing she’ll be found hiking in the hills around her house with her dog Rosie.
Joes debut novel Blinded by the Light was published by
Cillian Press in 2013. Light the Way is her follow up novel and the 2nd
book in the UnionTrilogy.

Chiselled
into the stone above the building entrance were the words, ‘With humility and respect. Let us Light the way’. A chill ran
through me. We’d arrived at the LightHouse. It was a name that struck terror
into the hearts of all Echo children. It was the monster that hid under our
beds and tormented our dreams.

The Mister Book Review

Goodreads synopsis:  London, 2019. Life has been easy for Maxim Trevelyan. With his good looks, aristocratic connections, and money, he’s never had to work and he’s rarely slept alone. But all that changes when tragedy strikes and Maxim inherits his family’s noble title, wealth, and estates, and all the responsibility that entails. It’s a role he’s not prepared for and one that he struggles to face.   But his biggest challenge is fighting his desire for an unexpected, enigmatic young woman who’s recently arrived in England, possessing little more than a dangerous and troublesome past.  Reticent, beautiful, and musically gifted, she’s an alluring mystery, and Maxim’s longing for her deepens into a passion that he’s never experienced and dares not name. Just who is Alessia Demachi? Can Maxim protect her from the malevolence that threatens her? And what will she do when she learns that he’s been hiding secrets of his own?   I will admit I did have some kind of salty...

So I have been in a fantasy mood lately. I think it may have to do with Summer Reading at the library because our theme is dealing with fantasy and science fiction. With that being said, I used my library and gathered a bit much of some fantasy books. I am going into them blind which I prefer because I want the whole concept of the book to (hopefully) blow me away. I have a few romance thrown in as well :) It's my birthday month so hopefully these books treat me well!   The city of Bulikov once wielded the powers of the gods to conquer the world, enslaving and brutalizing millions — until its divine protectors were killed. Now, Bulikov’s history has been censored and erased, its citizens subjugated. But the surreal landscape of the city itself, forever altered by the thousands of miracles its guardians once worked upon it, stands as a haunting reminder of its former supremacy. Into this broken city steps Shara Thivani. Officially, the unassuming young woman is just another...
