June Wrap Up

So for this month I did really good and read a total of 11 books! Two of those books were on my original TBR and the rest I picked up as a I saw. Normally on average I read about 4 or 5 a month but my reading has really been doing good. So here is all I read for the month of June. Most of these were 4 stars. I read more contemporary than any genre. Home and Away is a book for School Library Journal so unfortunately I cannot share that review at this time. Have anyone of you guys read any of these topics?

Book Review: Two Spell by Mark Morrison

(This ebook was sent to me by the author in exchange for an honest review) Goodreads Summary: S arah and her twin brother Jon are heirs to an ancient magical realm and its most valuable treasure, an enchanted library. The library endows readers with the supernatural means of crossing into the uncharted inner-sanctum of the second dimension, inhabited with peculiar and sometimes perilous creatures.   The children are emboldened with a wondrous mystical gift that no other being has ever possessed. But fate intervenes and triggers a disastrous inter-dimensional war that disrupts the fabric of time and space spanning multiple universes, tearing destiny a new and savage pathway.  The two must rescue their world from a phantom hybrid alien race controlled by a demented dark-wizard, Jeremy Sermack. They will either assimilate or be exterminated.  Will they be the saviors the prophets spoke of, or will they retreat to the perceived safety of their distant homeland? This book had

Top 5 Wednesday! Top 5 Summer Reads to Recommend

Hi guys! I think I'm not alone in this when I say that my summer reading is usually contemporary. Its just something about a good contemporary novel for the summer time. I'm always a sucker for anything paranormal or supernatural but if there is any good romance new adult contemporary I'm down for it. So with that being said, my recommends for summer are some spicy, adult time, new adult books. Goodreads Summary:  Here's a tip: never trust a jackass in preppy clothing.   The phrase "trust me" should have been my first clue to hightail it out the door, but hindsight is always 20/20.  So there I was, on a stage with two other men, being asked ridiculous questions by a woman I couldn't see, but whose voice made my pants tighten and not around my ankles.  Before I knew what was happening, I'd signed up for six weeks in paradise, isolated on an island for forty-two days with a complete stranger. And when I finally laid eyes on the sexy brunette who belo

Book Review: Chaser by Kylie Scott

Goodreads Summary:  Given his well-earned bad boy reputation, Eric is having a tough time scoring.. When single Jean moves to town, she seems heaven sent by the sex gods. Only problem is, she not only wants nothing to do with him, but it turns out that she's pregnant. Starting over in a small town, Jean is determined to turn her wild lifestyle around and be the kind of mother she always wished she'd had. Since local bar owner and all round hottie, Eric Collins, is now determined to steer clear of her pregnant self, it should be easy. When she goes into labour during a snow storm and her car slides on some ice, it's Eric who comes to the rescue. There seems to be a bond between them now, but is it enough? And can Eric give up his manwhore ways to be the man Jean needs?   This is book three of the Dive Bar Series and I hate that it has ended. I absolutely love Kylie Scott's books! She is one of my favorite New Adult Authors.  This last installment is E

June TBR

June is here!! I am so excited for this month because it is my birthday month. That means this gives me an excuse to buy more books?? No? ok. Its cool...I need to stick with my budget for more adult things....(boring). But that is why we have libraries..right? So with that being said, here are my picks for this month. Goodreads summary:  Jane McKeene was born two days before the dead began to walk the battlefields of Gettysburg and Chancellorsville—derailing the War Between the States and changing America forever. In this new nation, safety for all depends on the work of a few, and laws like the Native and Negro Reeducation Act require certain children attend combat schools to learn to put down the dead. But there are also opportunities—and Jane is studying to become an Attendant, trained in both weaponry and etiquette to protect the well-to-do. It’s a chance for a better life for Negro girls like Jane. After all, not even being the daughter of a wealthy white Southern woman could

Blogging update

It has been a while since I posted. I have had so many personal situations going on with one being purchasing my home. That itself takes up a lot of time. There are some reviews that I have been wanting to review and post but I just have not had the time to do that. Things have finally slowed down enough for me to get those posted. I have slowed down on what I do accept as far as books to review because I don't have the same time as before to stay as active on the blog. I don't think I have been able to check my blog email in a long while. I didn't want to fully stop blogging because I still love it.  There is one review that I will have posted tomorrow that I really think you all will love. It is called Two Spells by  Mark Morrison. It is a middle grade fiction novel and it is really good. So for now....that is all. But I'm still here. Not gone fully. 😄
