December Book Haul!

I hope everyone's holiday was fabulous! Mines was great. We went to morning bible class and had an awesome worship service.  After that we came home and enjoyed presents, food, and most of all family. For this month I didn't get a lot of books. I got one hardback and three kindle books I got this book through the book depository. I ordered it early this month and it came the day before Christmas Eve. I actually forgot that I ordered it. Even though I didn't love or hate the movie I do plan on reading the screen play and adding this to my harry potter collection. And besides, can we just gush over how beautiful the cover is? I got this book through the goodreads deal. I had no idea that award books go on sale after the results are shown. Also, I have to read this for work so it worked out pretty good  This is one of my favorite adult series. I also got this through the goodreads deal And finally this was purchased through goodreads and it is also...

Book Review: The Couple Next Door by Shari Lapena

Goodreads Summary:  Fast-paced and addictive, THE COUPLE NEXT DOOR announces a major new talent in thriller writing. You never know what's happening on the other side of the wall. Your neighbour told you that she didn't want your six-month-old daughter at the dinner party. Nothing personal, she just couldn't stand her crying. Your husband said it would be fine. After all, you only live next door. You'll have the baby monitor and you'll take it in turns to go back every half hour. Your daughter was sleeping when you checked on her last. But now, as you race up the stairs in your deathly quiet house, your worst fears are realized. She's gone. You've never had to call the police before. But now they're in your home, and who knows what they'll find there. What would  you  be capable of, when pushed past your limit? Trying to review this book will be a tad bit difficult because of trying not to give away major spoilers and some of those spoilers h...

All I want for Christmas Book Tag

I'm pretty sure a lot of you guys have a wishlist...wait...a bookish wishlist miles and miles high. I know for a fact that I do. So this is a tag that I have stumbled upon from a couple of years ago but it still seems pretty neat. I found this post at  Stephanie's Book Reviews . Feel free to tag yourself and leave a link so I can see and comment on it :) #1 What fictional Character do you want Santa to leave under your Christmas Tree?  With this question I had two characters that I wanted to have for Christmas but I will go with my current obssesion (ACOMAF..if you didn't know) and have Rhysand. I need him in my life. #2. What Character do you want to kiss under the mistletoe? My first choice is Rhysand but I don't want to be repetitive so I will go with Gavin from the Collide series by Gail Mchugh #3.) You write your Christmas List for Santa, what are your top 5 books on it? Most of these books don't come out until around the beginning of next year but ...

Book Review: Thief of Lies by Brenda Drake

( I received this ebook by the publisher through netgalley in exchange for an honest review) Goodreads Summary:  Gia Kearns would rather fight with boys than kiss them. That is, until Arik, a leather clad hottie in the Boston Athenaeum, suddenly disappears. While examining the book of world libraries he abandoned, Gia unwittingly speaks the key that sucks her and her friends into a photograph and transports them into a Paris library, where Arik and his Sentinels—magical knights charged with protecting humans from the creatures traveling across the gateway books—rescue them from a demonic hound. Jumping into some of the world's most beautiful libraries would be a dream come true for Gia, if she weren’t busy resisting her heart or dodging an exiled wizard seeking revenge on both the Mystik and human worlds. Add a French flirt obsessed with Arik and a fling with a young wizard, and Gia must choose between her heart and her head, between Arik's world and her own, before both...

December TBR

5 more books to 50? I think I can do that. I also have a little bit more that I would like to add and try to add to that goal but the Remnant chronicles are big books but I'm determined. 😀 These are at the top of my list I know for a fact that I will read this duology. Nothing is going to stop me either As soon as I finish Six of crows Duology I am going to dive right into these babies. I have put these off for so long and I just cannot wait to read them. This is one that I have to read for a book club that I run at work. It sounds good and I'm pretty sure I will like it. It is not what I normally go to but I'm all about getting out of my comfort zone These next few books are maybe.  I would like to read them but we will see!!

November Wrap up!!

For the month of November I read 5 books. I am so proud of myself because I knocked out some of my books that were sent to me for review.  I am currently 45 books towards my goal of 50. I plan on making that goal and more by the end of the month. I was sent this ARC from Entangle teen and I loved it. I can't wait until the next one comes out in this series. Kori is a teenager that has trouble for a middle name. When her father goes on a away on military business he leaves two gentlemen with her so she stays out of trouble. With Cade and Noah comes danger as well as they embark on a mission that has everything to do with Kori's family that she did not know about. In addition to someone wanting her dead. This story has time travel and jumping different dimensions. If you liked A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray then I think you will like this as well I read and reviewed this book as part of an audio book tour. This was my first audio review for a book. This ...
