Book Review: A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Mass

Goodreads Summary: When nineteen-year-old huntress Feyre kills a wolf in the woods, a beast-like creature arrives to demand retribution for it. Dragged to a treacherous magical land she only knows about from legends, Feyre discovers that her captor is not an animal, but Tamlin—one of the lethal, immortal faeries who once ruled their world.

As she dwells on his estate, her feelings for Tamlin transform from icy hostility into a fiery passion that burns through every lie and warning she's been told about the beautiful, dangerous world of the Fae. But an ancient, wicked shadow grows over the faerie lands, and Feyre must find a way to stop it... or doom Tamlin—and his world—forever.

I could not put this book down whatsoever!! Wait, I lied I did have to put it down because this thing called Life would not let me have all the feels of this book like I wanted to.
I haven't read a good fantasy book in a good minute and this was a good one to remind myself why I love fantasy. This is a …

Book Review: The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Adieh

Goodreads Summary: One Life to One Dawn.

In a land ruled by a murderous boy-king, each dawn brings heartache to a new family. Khalid, the eighteen-year-old Caliph of Khorasan, is a monster. Each night he takes a new bride only to have a silk cord wrapped around her throat come morning. When sixteen-year-old Shahrzad's dearest friend falls victim to Khalid, Shahrzad vows vengeance and volunteers to be his next bride. Shahrzad is determined not only to stay alive, but to end the caliph's reign of terror once and for all.

Night after night, Shahrzad beguiles Khalid, weaving stories that enchant, ensuring her survival, though she knows each dawn could be her last. But something she never expected begins to happen: Khalid is nothing like what she'd imagined him to be. This monster is a boy with a tormented heart. Incredibly, Shahrzad finds herself falling in love. How is this possible? It's an unforgivable betrayal. Still, Shahrzad has come to understand all is not as it see…

Booking Through Thursday #1

This is a weekly meme hosted by Booking Through Thursday. Each week a question is posted and you have to answer the question.

Question of the week? Quantity. Do you own fewer books than you used to? More?
Or do you find the quantity in your library stays pretty much the same from year to year? (And yes, digital and audio books DO count.) Don't forget to link up with your answers as well. I don't really own a lot of books. In fact, my shelf is so small it has four little rows on it. With that being said, I mostly check out books from the library.  I'm a Y.A. Librarian so it is not hard at all to get my hands on some good books. Each month we add to our collection so the quantity of the library grows but at the same time we have to weed the shelves and discard books as well. I would say it is along a 70/30 for the library.  I have over 80 titles on my kindle. Because of space at home most of the time I have to buy books for my kindle. I would prefer to have physical copies but…
 Blog Update Number 2
I hope you all are having a great week so far. We don't have that much left to go. Friday is almost upon us....just hold on a little longer.

This past week I have stumbled upon something very addicting. BOOKSTAGRAM. I know I'm very late about it but I have fallen in love with it. I found some really great bookstagrammers and some awesome blogs as well. I have a regular instagram but for the life of me, I don't know why I didn't start a bookstagram.
I am nowhere near a professional photographer but I try to add some really nice touches to it.
My handle is @thebibliophilemaniac
I think I'm having the giddyness of #bookstagram right now. #bilbliophile #biblio #bookworm #bookgeek #booknerd #booknerdigans #instabook #bookgram #bookblog #bookblogger #bookaholic #bookaddict #igreads #ireadya #ya #yalit A photo posted by Ericka Greer (@thebibliophilemaniac) on Jun 10, 2016 at 3:35pm PDT

It Started with a Whisper
by Shannon McCrimmon Genre: YA Contemporary Release Date: June 1st 2016
Five simple words: That's all it takes to change the course of 18-year-old Josie Graham's life in the summer of 1989.
Josie is a musical prodigy: She can sing, play guitar and is a natural on the piano. Instead of spending her last summer before college traveling the country with her rock star father, she's made a last minute decision to spend it working at her Aunt Bernie's inn, in Ambler's Fork, North Carolina. But what could have turned her life-long passion for music into a hatred for an industry she's worked so hard to get into?

Her aunt's inn seems like the perfect place to escape, to clear her head and figure things out, but on her first day there, she almost drowns before Chic Hobbs saves her.

Chic wants nothing more in life than to leave Ambler's Fork and his sordid past behind—at least not until that day Josie Graham swims into his life. The…

Midweek Update

This is something that I have seen on other blogs about their weekly updates on life and blogging. I thought that it was different and interesting at the same time. So, I decided to do something along that avenue with Midweek Update. I will do it every Wednesday. It will be about things that I am trying out new, books, and other topics that I think would be interesting.

Bookish Topics 1.)Podcast. I made a post about podcast a while back and I have been in love with listening to them. A co-worker got me hooked on them and I enjoy listening while I'm at work. I'm a Y.A. Librarian and I found a lot of different review podcast to listen to. They are great for when working, doing some cleaning around the house, exercising, and much more. Let me know if you have some favorites that you guys listen to. I hope to one day be able have my own Podcast show.

2.) If you have been following me for the past few weeks I have started the audio book challenge. Audio books have never been my go t…
